The Gray Girls

Me, Melissa, Amanda and Skyler

Skyler and Scotch

Our grandaughter Skyler and my horse Scotch. He is 16 hands tall and she was pretty afraid of his size the past couple years but not now. We took her saddle and had the stirrups fixed so she is more confident.

This is Friday, Skyler's pony that she has rode for the past year. Friday is sort of hard-headed and that is why she is glad to move on to Scotch.."He knows how to listen!"

Fair Week

We just concluded our county fair. It was hotter that all get out, the 1st day had a record breaking day of 108 degrees. Our family have been showing sheep for the past 22 years and I thought when Melissa (my youngest) grew out of FFA that we would be done-with sheep and being chairmen of the barn. Well...my oldest Matt has a beautiful 5 year old that has spent most of her summer with Grandma and Grandpa and Skyler and Aunt Amanda (our middle child) had to assist Lincoln University (where she graduated from) with their supreme champion dorset ewe. Skyler cried for an hour, even making herself sick that she could not bring Leah home. (BTW-grandpa is on the search for Southdowns for next year) Sooo...I guess we are continuing our sheep endevor...for now.

Pinterest

I absolutely LOVE Pinterest!! I pin, pin, pin...sometimes I forget to uncheck the "share on facebook" box and my son-in-law asked me on a facebook post... "Have some free time? Your pinning is taking over my Facebook lol!" Now I just have to figure out adding a widget to "follow me."

Recreating

I have been a blogger for a couple years, spent a lot of time creating my blog ( Here We Go Loopty Loo) and getting good school related materials on it to share. (K-2). Last fall our district changed email servers and I can no longer access my blog...so I decided to recreate. Along with the new creation, I also have changed positions from K/1 Looping teacher to Reading Recover/Intervention Specialist. So my vision for the new blog will be a smorgasboard of life, defiantly school materials, recipes, family, farm/livestock life etc. I hope to do a daily post-we'll see. Thanks for following me!
