We just concluded our county fair. It was hotter that all get out, the 1st day had a record breaking day of 108 degrees. Our family have been showing sheep for the past 22 years and I thought when Melissa (my youngest) grew out of FFA that we would be done-with sheep and being chairmen of the barn. Well...my oldest Matt has a beautiful 5 year old that has spent most of her summer with Grandma and Grandpa and Skyler and Aunt Amanda (our middle child) had to assist Lincoln University (where she graduated from) with their supreme champion dorset ewe. Skyler cried for an hour, even making herself sick that she could not bring Leah home. (BTW-grandpa is on the search for Southdowns for next year) Sooo...I guess we are continuing our sheep endevor...for now.
